Mr Loophole offers to help the Government


Nick Freeman, the Solicitor known as Mr Loophole has offered to help the government remove the legal kinks that are behind his success.

The Independent reports that in an interview with them, Nick Freeman admitted that some defences that he used appeared to be unfair to the public, and that he is prepared to offer his support to the government to help tighten up the driving laws.  Mr Freeman said:

"I wouldn't say that I know the law better than the government but I'd be very happy to offer whatever help I can to make our roads safer."

It was also reported in The Telegraph, that Nick Freeman has revealed that he is a surprise supporter of reducing the legal alcohol limit to bring it in line with European levels.  Currently, European levels are 50mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, whilst the level in the UK is 80mg.
